It's a recording breaking, bone chilling, icy hell out here on the west coast. Normally this is the only temperate part of Canada but lately I've actually had to use the electric heating. This is grating against my thrifty personality. Good thing second hand wool clothes abound.
Another good thing is curry. Tonight I made a huge pot of veggie curry and we hulled it across town to my Uncle's house. My uncle is turning out to be the coolest relative ever. He speaks at least four languages, is well read, has had an amazing life, and is hilariously funny. I'm so glad to be getting to know him.
Finally, I have a problem with Halva. It's too good. What do you mean it's full of sugar?
Oh, and one more problem. When I see people from high school walking by why don't I say "hi"? Would it kill me? Geez. It's weird being back where you grew up. I'm still getting used to it.
