Working on it.

Music is much more important to me so finding lyrics that work with it is a challenge. I was relieved to read a quote by Bowie on the subject:

"There, in the chords and melodies, is everything I want to say. The words just jolly it along. It's always been my way of expressing what for me is inexpressible by any other means"

This surprised me because I think his lyrics are incredible.

I really liked this quote too: Strangely, some songs you really don't want to write.

My favorite group is the Cocteau Twins,
whose singer invents her own language or just makes-up sounds that feel right cause her artistry won't be constrained by the indignity of that previously defined.Actually, some of my favorite parts of your songs you're either already doing that or your enunciation eludes me,and isn't Okeanos just sounds?

Thank you for your comment and for reminding me of Cocteau Twins. I didn't know that the lyrics were intentionally obscure. My enunciation is quite poor, I know, but I am glad to hear that it doesn't bother you. Okeanos is wordless and spontaneous. It was wonderful to write that way.
